ย The average price for a gallon of diesel fuel across the U.S. is within a cent of the average price one week ago, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.
On Monday, March 18, the EIA reported the U.S. average price for a gallon of diesel fuel was nine-tenths of a cent lower than a week previous. Last week, the price was a fraction of a cent higher than the previous week.
Mondayโs average price is 9.8 cents higher than one year ago.
Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:
- U.S. โ $3.07, down nine-tenths of a cent.
- East Coast โ $3.124, up one-tenth of a cent.
- New England โ $3.20, up 1.7 cents.
- Central Atlantic โ $3.313, down one-fifth of a cent.
- Lower Atlantic โ $2.981, no change.
- Midwest โ $2.992, down 1.9 cents.
- Gulf Coast โ $2.869, down 1.2 cents.
- Rocky Mountain โ $2.944, up a half cent.
- West Coast โ $3.497, down four-fifths of a cent.
- West Coast without California โ $3.139, down 2.3 cents.
- California โ $3.781, up three-tenths of a cent.
