Diesel Fuel Prices almost steady. Some up, Some down

ย The average price for a gallon of diesel fuel across the U.S. is within a cent of the average price one week ago, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.

On Monday, March 18, the EIA reported the U.S. average price for a gallon of diesel fuel was nine-tenths of a cent lower than a week previous. Last week, the price was a fraction of a cent higher than the previous week.

Mondayโ€™s average price is 9.8 cents higher than one year ago.

Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:

  • U.S. โ€“ $3.07, down nine-tenths of a cent.
  • East Coast โ€“ $3.124, up one-tenth of a cent.
  • New England โ€“ $3.20, up 1.7 cents.
  • Central Atlantic โ€“ $3.313, down one-fifth of a cent.
  • Lower Atlantic โ€“ $2.981, no change.
  • Midwest โ€“ $2.992, down 1.9 cents.
  • Gulf Coast โ€“ $2.869, down 1.2 cents.
  • Rocky Mountain โ€“ $2.944, up a half cent.
  • West Coast โ€“ $3.497, down four-fifths of a cent.
  • West Coast without California โ€“ $3.139, down 2.3 cents.
  • California โ€“ $3.781, up three-tenths of a cent.
