Daimler Truck has announced that Karin Rådström will succeed Martin Daum as CEO starting October 1. Rådström joined the company in February 2021 as the head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, where she played a key role in enhancing profitability and advancing sustainability initiatives, including the launch of several battery-electric trucks.
Before joining Daimler Truck, Rådström was responsible for sales and marketing and served on the executive board of Scania, a Swedish truck manufacturer under Traton Group. She also led Scania’s bus and coach division.
Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck, commended Rådström’s industry expertise and leadership abilities. “She has demonstrated her capacity to drive brand transformation while navigating a challenging external landscape,” he stated. “As a true leader, Rådström has been pivotal in creating a new performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, diversity, and customer focus.”
Rådström will continue to oversee Mercedes-Benz Trucks until a successor is appointed.
