Logistics giant, XPO, has expanded its internal investigation after allegations against the Memphis facilityโs substandard conditions has led to employee miscarriages.
A workplace and gender equity expert, Tina Tchen, is handling the probe to identify areas of improvement in their workplace culture.
In a statement released on the 4th of December, XPO said itโs, โcommitted to implementing any recommended improvementโ coming from Tchenโs review and that theyโve already implemented policies to provide increased support to pregnant workers.
The statement came two weeks after nine United States senators demanded XPO they provide details by Dec. 4th on systemwide workplace practices in the wake of charges that they subjected pregnant workers to physically exhausting workplace conditions at the Memphis facility, leading to a few miscarriages.
