On Saturday the 15th of September, the Eastern Ontario portion of the Trucking For A Cure Convoy was held with 50 Trucks participating.ย Staging at the High School in Prescott, where participants registered, decorated the trucks, enjoyed a catered breakfast and met and renewed friendships, it was an exciting day.
The OPP had their fully decorated command centre truck lead the convoy of the fifty trucks.ย While Travelers had about ten trucks from their fleet, most were small business owner operator truckers.ย Even Ideal Roofing allowed Sylvia to enter and take the award for best Volvo.ย Cervus Equipment had several Peterbilts taking part. ย
Joanne MacKenzieโs Highland Truck โPinkieโ was front on centre and she reported from the Chrome Supply Warehouse Stage that $30,000 was raised and that sheโd have precise numbers later. ย
The Womenโs Trucking Federation of Canada was well represented by Shellie Uvenile-Hesch
