The Wall That Heals Seeks Help

ย Air Force veteran and trucker, Steve Huling transported The Wall That Heals last year across the state of Pennsylvania.

โ€œIt was amazing,โ€ said Huling. โ€œI was grateful and honoured to be in that truck. Very thankful.โ€ย  Huling added, โ€œI didnโ€™t expect the pride I had felt, the outpouring of love that was received while we drove by.โ€

The Wall That Heals is a transportable replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. that changes locations annually thanks to truck drivers like Steve Huling. The exhibit also includes a mobile Education Center that is transported on a 53-foot trailer.

During a recent ceremony in Las Vegas, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund recognized Huling and other members of the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) who transported the exhibit.

โ€œOur partnership with TCA allowed us to bring more than 58,000 service members inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial home to hundreds of thousands of visitors in 2018,โ€ said the Director of Outreach for VVMF, Tim Tetz.

Trucking companies are still needed to haul The Wall That Heals in 2019; interested companies can complete an online application via http://www.vvmf.org/haul-the-wall.
