Senate Passes Back To Work Legislation for CUPW

Canada Post mail service delivery will resume at noon on Tuesday after the Senate passed legislation to order workers back on the job, ending five weeks of rotating strikes.

Canada Post said that it faces a “severe” backlog of mail and parcels which will “worsen significantly” because of Black Friday and Cyber Monday orders. Delivery delays are expected across the country throughout the holiday season and into January. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has vowed to fight the legislation.
