Paccar Recall

 

Paccar is recalling more than 25,000 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks of various models for an issue with the clutch assembly, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents.

More specifically, model year 2018-19 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks equipped with automated manual transmissions are affected. An internal component in the clutch assembly may fail, possibly resulting in unintended vehicle movement, according to NHTSA.

The following models are affected by the recall (all model year 2018-2019):

  • Kenworth C500.
  • Kenworth T270.
  • Kenworth T370.
  • Kenworth T440.
  • Kenworth T660.
  • Kenworth T680.
  • Kenworth T800.
  • Kenworth T880.
  • Kenworth W900.
  • Peterbilt 337.
  • Peterbilt 348.
  • Peterbilt 365.
  • Peterbilt 367.
  • Peterbilt 389.
  • Peterbilt 567.
  • Peterbilt 579.
  • Peterbilt 587.

Owners of affected trucks will be notified by Paccar. Dealers will update the transmission control module for free. Recalls are scheduled for February, with no specific date mentioned in recall documents.
