A truck driver was struck and killed on Interstate 77 in Jackson County, West Virginia early Tuesday morning.
According to WSAZ, the truck driver, Charles Boyd, 36, parked his truck on the shoulder of the highway and was working on the truckโs engine when his truck was sideswiped by a passing truck.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 this morning in the southbound lanes of the highway, near the Goldtown exit.
Boyd died at the scene.
The driver of the truck that sideswiped Boydโs truck told authorities that he must have โdrifted offโ before the crash.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
