Inland Kenworth has designed a one-of-a-kind T680 โEveryday Heroesโ truck in conjunction with Truckers Against Trafficking in order to help raise awareness and fund efforts against human trafficking. The custom T680 is valued at $162,000 and all proceeds will go directly to TAT (Truckers Against Trafficking).
The truck will make its first public appearance on January 15, 2019, at the National Mall in Washington for the TAT Everyday Heroes Truck press conference. Don Blake, New Truck Sales Manager at Inland Kenworth-Phoenix, is leading the effort and is also scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the conference.
โThis started out as an idea in 2017 that got rolling, and it was a great success. Now, the sponsors weโve worked with again are so supportive. It shows our industryโs true colours to pull together to raise money for a great cause,โ Blake said in a recent statement. โIโm especially appreciative to Kenworth. When I reached out to see if they would be a sponsor again, they were more than happy to help. Kenworth has been great to work with, and in 2019, the T680 will have its own booth at TMC and the Mid-America Trucking Show.โ
In a statement reciprocating Don Blakeโs kind words, Kenworth Marketing Director, Kurt Swihart said, โKenworth is a strong supporter of the efforts of Don Blake and Inland Kenworth in this important project. Donโs involvement with Truckers Against Trafficking is inspiring, and we look forward to a very successful fund-raising auction in May.โ
