Community Comes Together To Support Family Of Trucker Who Died In Freak Accident

When a truck driver from Canada died in a freak trucking accident in Minneapolis last week, people came together to help his grieving family deal with the loss of their son.

Bradley Jackson, 21, died after his truck flipped while transporting a load of hot tar from Winnipeg, Canada to North Dakota. The tar spilled into the cab of Jackson’s semi, burning 95% of his body.

Jackson, who worked for Winnipeg-based Jade Transport, was airlifted to Hennepin Burn Center in Minneapolis but ultimately died from his injuries.

The GoFundMe was set up on Friday with a goal amount of $6,000. By Sunday morning, the number had been reached through 66 donors.

“He (Jackson) was hardworking and a real pleasure to be around,” a post on Jade’s Facebook account read. “Today with heavy hearts, we have to let him go. We are all saddened by this tragedy and ask that you continue to pray for peace and comfort for his family.”
