Average Diesel Prices Drop More Than 3 Cents

The average price per gallon for a diesel fuel dropped 3.5 cents on Monday, Nov. 19, compared to the Monday before, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.

This is the fourth consecutive week of average price drops. The average price decreased in every region, ranging from not quite penny per gallon in New England to 4.6 cents per gallon in the Midwest.

The price is 37 cents higher than one year ago Monday.

Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:

  • U.S. – $3.282, down 3.5 cents.
  • East Coast – $3.295, down 1.9 cents.
  • New England – $3.347, down nine-tenths of a cent.
  • Central Atlantic – $3.466, down 1.7 cents.
  • Lower Atlantic – $3.165, down 2.2 cents.
  • Midwest – $3.216, down 4.6 cents.
  • Gulf Coast – $3.045, down 4 cents.
  • Rocky Mountain – $3.36, down 1.8 cents.3.9 cents.
  • California – $4, down 4 cents.
