Bison Transport is the latest Canadian carrier to begin running LNG-powered trucks.
The Winnipeg-based company is now running LNG trucks out of Calgary, where it has partnered with Shell Canada on the project.
Shell is opening LNG fueling stations in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton. The fueling stations are reportedly a worldwide first for Shell.
Bison says it expects to spend 30 per cent less on fuel with LNG trucks compared to diesel, and produce 30 per cent fewer emissions.
