Road conditions are getting worse for some drivers heading through the Cascades.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced that traction tires are advised at Snoqualmie Pass on Interstate 90. Chains are required for vehicles over 10,000 gross vehicle weight and oversize vehicles are prohibited.
Around 2 p.m., Trooper John Bryant tweeted that the speed and slush on the roadway.
Hours earlier, WSDOT announced that traction tires are required for vehicles at Stevens Pass. Officials now say traction tires are advised as road conditions have improved.
