The 39th Annual Truckers Jamboree will take place July 12-14 at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, in Walcott, Iowa.
Since it began in 1979, the Truckers Jamboree has been celebrating America’s Truckers. The Iowa 80 says it’s “a great place to celebrate and learn about trucking and those big rigs,” adding “It’s our way of saying thank you to the millions of truck drivers that deliver the goods we consume, whether it’s groceries, gas, clothes or cars — you can bet it was delivered by a truck.”
Over 44,000 people are expected to attend the three day event. The event is free and no ticket is required for admission.
The Jamboree will kick off Thursday morning with the judging of the Super Trucks Beauty Contest. There will also be an antique truck display, more than 175 exhibits, live music, the Trucker Olympics, and fireworks.
There is plenty of parking at this “Trucker’s Disneyland” and complimentary shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
