The average price of a gallon of on-highway diesel went up 1.3 cents to $2.54 per gallon for the week ending Monday, Dec. 26. This marks the fourth consecutive increase after four straight weeks of decreases and the highest prices since Oct. 12, 2015, when diesel was at $2.556.
Diesel price averages went up in all 10 regions in the U.S., according to the Energy Information Administration. The largest average increase was in the New England region, where prices at the pump went up by 2.4 cents per gallon. Prices increased by eight-tenths of a cent in the Lower Atlantic region, the smallest increase in the nation.

West Coast – $2.807, up 1.9 cents
West Coast less California – $2.727, up 2.2 cents
