43 Years, 6 Million Miles, Time to Hang Up The Keys

A UPS truck driver from Atlanta, Jimmy Howard, is retiring after 43 years and 6 million accident-free miles.

Howard started driving for UPS at the age of 22 as a delivery truck driver and eventually moved into driving tractor-trailers on a daily route from Atlanta to Mississippi (a 525-mile round trip).

In addition to his outstanding record as a professional driver, Howard has also never been involved in a crash in his personal vehicle.

When asked about his secret to accident-free driving, Howard stated, “A lot of luck, but I think God’s been with me most of the way. And great training from our management staff.”
