This the 27th year of Wreaths Across America organizing an event, with the help of the American Trucking Association, where both truck drivers and volunteers placed about 250,000 wreaths on the headstones of our fallen heroes on December 15 at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
“Wreaths Across America could not deliver and have the ceremonies and would not be in existence without the generosity of the trucking industry,” Karen Worcester, Co-Founder of Wreaths Across America said. “It is so good to meet these drivers who all have a story, all have a mission.”
About 1.8 million wreaths were created in Maine and distributed across all 50 states and in multiple countries. All wreaths were assembled with Balsam Fir which can be trimmed and harvested from every three years.
Both private carriers and 3PLs were present at the event.
