A trucker dad recently gave a three-legged dog named Lola a second lease on life as a long-haul companion.
Lola mysteriously appeared in the yard of Greenwood, South Carolina animal shelter manager, Karen Pettay, on March 30, and it was obvious one of her hind-legs had recently been amputated.
She was taken to the animal shelter but no one came forward to claim her until an animal-loving truck driver visited her and decided to adopt her.
The animal shelter posted the following about Lola:
โโฆyesterday, lovely Lola went to her new forever home. And what a life she is going to have! Lola is about to embark on an adventure that will take her all over the country, as she is going to be traveling with her new dad, who is a long haul trucker! Because of her sparkling personality and unique appearance, this sweet girl is sure to be a hit no matter where she goes. We are so happy for her and her new family! Safe travels, Lola.
