Police confirmed a truck driver was apprehended in Washington County and taken in for questioning about an attempted abduction in Cedar City on Tuesday evening.
Cedar City police received reports that a man had tried to grab a female juvenile out of a vehicle at a Love’s Travel Stop, said Sgt. Clint Pollock with CCPD.
The female was able to get away and ran into the truck stop, Pollock said.
Police were told the suspect was a truck driver. A person matching his description was stopped by police on Interstate 15 in Washington County, Pollock said.
Investigators are now interviewing both the driver and the juvenile.
