TMW Systems launches new cloud-based solutions

TMW Systems launched two new cloud-based solutions this week at its user conference in Nashville – the first an integration platform tool for mobile communication devices and the second dubbed “Engage.Bid” to streamline the bid management process for brokers, motor carriers and third party logistics (3PLs) providers alike.

TMW’s new FleetConneX cloud-based “universal tool” that aims to help fleets integrate their mobile communication platforms into TMWSuite software without the need for costly servers, the company said, while helping improve communication with drivers by reducing data latency issues associated with many conventional integration platforms.

The solution’s architecture supports more than 90 data fields covering virtually every aspect of an order and permits fleets to easily add or subtract fields from their approved forms without custom coding, TMW added.

The firm also noted that FleetConneX is now available for fleets using TMWSuite software in conjunction with both PeopleNet and Omnitracs mobile communication solutions.

“Near real-time communication between fleet operations and drivers is absolutely vital in today’s transportation environment, yet systems complexity and other issues continue to challenge the industry,” noted David Wangler, TMW’s president, in a statement. “FleetConneX opens the door to significantly easier, more robust and less expensive integration for TMWSuite users who rely on two of the industry’s leading mobile communication providers.”

Meanwhile, TMW’s web-based “Engage.Bid” business management application aims to help motor carriers, brokers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers streamline the freight bidding process – saving time and labor, improving accuracy and leverage pricing intelligence to increase the success of all concerned in winning business.

TMW explained that Engage.Bid greatly simplifies the conversion and analysis of often-complicated shipper request for proposal (RFP) documents – allowing users to apply critical pricing intelligence to speed up assessments and develop bids, TMW noted

Engage.Bid also tracks the status of open bids and indexes and stores current and historical bid data in searchable form to help ease workflow constraints while enabling multiple users within an organization to collaborate in structuring bids, the company said.

“Bid management can be an extremely complex and labor intensive process, and yet it is becoming increasingly important to the success of transportation companies of all sizes,” Wangler pointed out. “Enngage.Bid offers the productivity tools needed to dramatically speed up this process and provide industry-leading pricing intelligence that can enable our customers to more effectively compete to win business.”
