The Tennessee Highway Patrol is asking drivers to use extra caution as they travel along Interstate 81 in Hamblen and Jefferson Counties. The department has received reports of three separate shootings targeting both commercial and private vehicles along that stretch of the highway starting Sept. 9, 2016. The most recent incident occurred Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.
Anyone who may have information about the shootings is asked to call the Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigation Division at 423-426-6571.
