(Aug. 16, 2012) — Convoy For Hope Atlantic, (formerly ‘Convoy-For-The-Cure’) is set to take place for its third year and organizers are urging carrier companies and independent drivers to take part.
The epic event kicks-off on September 15, 2012 in Salisbury, NB and travels to Aulac, NB.
Organizers aim to raise more than $100,000 to fight lung, breast, prostate, and colon cancer; and are hoping for at least 100 transport trucks to get involved in the convoy.
“Our hope with this massive convoy of truckers from all over the Atlantic Provinces is to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer.
“Let us remember our friends and family who have fought and won, or fought and lost the fight against cancer, by helping to finding a cure.”
