The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is hosting a seminar Jan. 13 to discuss Ontario’s CVOR program and cargo security.
The seminar will run from 9 a.m. till noon at Molson-Coors, 1 Carlingview Drive, Toronto.
An Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) rep will be on-hand to discuss the province’s CVOR program. Information will be provided on how fleets can use the program to monitor and rectify problems within their operations before MTO gets involved.
“When a fleet properly uses its CVOR to regularly monitor its fleet, it is able spot trends and use this as a proactive way to intervene, train staff and correct issues before they become a major problem,” explains PMTC president Mike Millian.
The MTO will also go over the recently adopted NSC Standard 11b and outline what carriers and mechanics must do to ensure compliance with the new periodic motor vehicle inspection requirements.
Also presenting will be a representative from AFIMAC Global, who will provide insight into cargo security best practices throughout the supply chain.
PMTC members can attend for $25 and non-members for $100. To register, email Vanessa Cox at info@pmtc.ca or call 905-827-0587.
