Even if you are away from home on Thanksgiving Thursday, you could still have a delicious Thanksgiving meal.
Meals For 18 Wheels helps deliver meals to truckers in need throughout the year, and wants to make sure truckers still get to enjoy Thanksgiving even if theyโre on the road. On Nov. 23-24, the groupโs volunteers will be matched with drivers to bring them a Thanksgiving dinner plate.
If youโre interested, check their Facebook page on Thanksgiving morning and look for the post about the event. Drivers who wish to receive a meal will comment their location and how long they expect to be at that location.
Meals for 18 Wheels will try to find a volunteer in that area who can drop off a plate of food. Information on how to volunteer is also available on the groupโs Facebook page.
โWe do this every year in hopes of bringing a little bit of home to drivers who are unable to go home to their families,โ the group posted. โEveryone is welcome to participate even if weโve recently helped you.โ
