KENTUCKY POLICE ANNOUNCE A YEAR-LONG INTERSTATE ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN

Kentucky Police Departments announced plans to kick off a year-long interstate enforcement campaign set to start on October 1, 2019, and continue through September 30, 2020.

The campaign will target I-75 from the Ohio River in Covington to the I-275 interchange in Erlanger, Kentucky.

Covington Police Chief, Rob Naber said, โ€œWe receive numerous complaints about too many motorists and truckers on I-75 driving recklessly and/or too fast [for]ย  conditions. We can reduce these complaints โ€“ and the accidents they cause โ€“ through enforcement. Through this program from the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, Covington Police will work with its sister agencies to make sure our families get to where theyโ€™re going safelyโ€

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinetโ€™s Office of Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are funding the enforcement campaign.
