FTR Intelligence to host webinar on ELD
FTR Transportation Intelligence, a thought leader in freight transportation forecasting in North America, will host a presentation on the critical introduction of Electronic Logging Devices. ELDโs are potentially the most important regulatory change since the Hours of Service changes in 2004.
FTR has been tracking the ELD story for more than five years. In 2004, capacity utilization neared the important 100% mark โ and FTR believes the market will reach that standard in early 2018. The implementation has been delayed due to the usual federal issues, but FTRโs projections remain valid. Transportation professionals need to be aware of both the advantages and disadvantages of this technology โ whether you are a shipper, a broker, a carrier, or a market analyst. The in-depth review of the current situation via webinar is scheduled for Thursday, August 10th, at 11 a.m. EDT.
Economist Noรซl Perry will discuss how the ELDโs may impact operations and quantify the upside and downside risks. He will also explore the spillover effects on the overall market. Noรซl will end by taking a look at whether or not 2019 will be different.
This webinar contains 30 minutes of prepared material with a 15 minute Q&A moderated by Clay Slaughter, Senior Analyst & General Counsel at FTR.
For more than two decades, FTRโs national award-winning forecasters have collected and analyzed all data likely to impact freight movement, issuing reports for trucking, rail, and intermodal transportation, as well as providing demand analysis for commercial vehicle and railcar.
