Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is changing up its senior leadership staff, promoting its longtime communications leader, David Giroux, to director of channel marketing, with Katja Bott replacing him as director of public relations and corporate communications.

The company said Giroux will continue to act as spokesperson for DTNA until November 1 this year.

In the newly created position of director of channel marketing, Giroux will lead the development and implementation of all Freightliner and Detroit marketing, communications and brand strategy efforts.

He will also be responsible for executing digital marketing, strategy and delivering brand and product information to customers, dealers and press through multiple marketing channels including events, training, and communications.
Meanwhile, Bott will be responsible for DTNA’s public relations strategy, internal and external corporate communications and marketing.

She will also handle media relations for its Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Built Buses, Alliance Truck Parts, and Freightliner Customer Chassis Corporation (FCC) divisions.
Bott sports extensive experience within the Daimler Group of companies, having held positions at Daimler AG, Daimler Trucks, Mercedes-Benz Vans division, among others, during her 14 years with the company.

In her most recent role, Katja served as the primary spokesperson for the head of Mercedes Benz Vans.
