U.S. Diesel Prices Drop by a Couple of Cents

The average price per gallon for a diesel fuel dropped 2.5 cents from Monday, Oct. 29 compared to the Monday before, according to the Energy Information Administration.

According to the EIA, regional average decreases ranged from a third of a penny in New England and Rocky Mountain states to 3.7 cents in Lower Atlantic states.

Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:

  • U.S. โ€“ $3.355, down 2.5 cents.
  • East Coast โ€“ $3.346, down 2.3 cents.
  • New England โ€“ $3.365, down three-tenths of a cent.
  • Central Atlantic โ€“ $3.523, down 1 cent.
  • Lower Atlantic โ€“ $3.217 down 3.7 cents.
  • Midwest โ€“ $3.31, down 2.3 cents.
  • Gulf Coast โ€“ $3.117, down 3.5 cents.
  • Rocky Mountain โ€“ $3.405, down three-tenths of a cent.
  • West Coast โ€“ $3.848, down 2.3 cents.
  • West Coast less California โ€“ $3.564, down 2.3 cents.
  • California โ€“ $4.074, down 2.2 cents.
