Higher speed limits will be seen in Ontario this Fall. As a pilot project a section of 417 east of Ottawa to the Quebec border will have the speed limit raised from the current 100 kmph to 110 kilometres per hour.
Likewise the 402 west of London to Sarnia and the QEW from the Hamilton Area to St Catharines. At this point, this venture into higher speed limits will be restricted to these three areas.
