The average price of a gallon of on-highway diesel went up 3.4 cents to $2.527 per gallon for the week ending Monday, Dec. 19. This marks the third consecutive increase after four straight weeks of decreases and the highest prices since Oct. 19, 2015, when diesel was at $2.531.
Diesel price averages went up in all 10 regions in the U.S., according to the Energy Information Administration. The largest average increase was in the Rocky Mountain region, where prices at the pump went up by 4.8 cents per gallon. Prices increased by 1.5 cents in the West Coast less California region, the smallest increase in the nation.

West Coast less California – $2.705, up 1.5 cents
California – $2.854, up 1.7 cents
