During this horrible time for the residents of Fort McMurray, Alberta who have been evacuated from the city, all we can do is pray and offer whatever we can to make their lives a little easier.
It is being reported the fire has reached the heart of the city and many of the neighbourhood are decimated.
The first challenge is to get the fire out. Now that residents are evacuated, those charged with fighting the fire will be descending upon Fort McMurray. The military will be coming into Fort McMurray in significant numbers to assist in whatever way possible. To those first responders who have been working hard to beat back the forest fire, help is on the way.
Offers of assistance have been pouring in. One of the challenges will be to co-ordinate all the assistance being offered so that not one single human falls through the cracks.
When this is all over, there will be the rebuilding process. Fort McMurray is going to be the hub of meeting challenges for sometime to come.
For the rest of us, let’s make sure our prayers are heard.
