Eaton Introduces New Transmission Option

Power management company Eaton announced it is introducing an aftermarket promotion that will bring โ€œcompetitive pricing, improved warranties and same-day shipments for the companyโ€™s most popular models of new manual transmissions.โ€ The program began Sept. 15, includes 22 part numbers that represent roughly 80% of the replacement transmission market, and will run through March 15, 2017, the company said.

โ€œThese are new transmissions, not remanufactured units. These new units are built on the same production lines as transmissions for new trucks,โ€ said Bill Fouch, aftermarket marketing manager, Eaton. โ€œContent and all gearing are 100% genuine Eaton and includes all of our latest engineering upgrades. With this new promotion, weโ€™re giving our customers even more reasons to benefit from the performance and features of the number one selling transmission in North America, and not having to settle for a locally rebuilt substitute.โ€

The base 3-year/unlimited mileage coast-to-coast warranty may be extended to four years/unlimited mileage when the transmissions are bundled with a new Eaton clutch and Eaton-approved synthetic lubricant. Same-day shipment with no premium charge also will be available for truck-down situations through Eatonโ€™s 15 strategically placed distribution centres during the six-month campaign, the company said.

โ€œThe new transmissions represent an important addition to Eatonโ€™s growing aftermarket portfolio that has been designed to provide solutions for all of our customers,โ€ Fouch added. โ€œDuring this promotion, our customers still have the option to choose an Eaton Factory Reman transmission if that best meet their needs.โ€

These new products are available through OEMs, for their dealers and end-user fleets who are operating businesses in the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
