The average price for a gallon of diesel fuel across the U.S. dropped 1.2 cents, according to the weekly report issued for Monday, May 27, from the Energy Information Administration.
Decreases ranging from 1 cent to 1.5 cents were reported in every region of the U.S. in the EIA report. The U.S. average is 13.7 cents lower than one year ago.
Following are the average prices for diesel fuel by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:
- U.S. – $3.151, down 1.2 cents.
- East Coast – $3.164, down 1.2 cents.
- New England – $3.225, down 1.3 cents.
- Central Atlantic – $3.36, down 1.5 cents.
- Lower Atlantic – $3.02, down 1 cent.
- Midwest – $3.038, down 1.1 cents.
- Gulf Coast – $2.893, down 1.4 cents.
- Rocky Mountain – $3.181, down 1.1 cents.
- West Coast – $3.782, down 1.2 cents.
- West Coast without California – $3.338, down 1.4 cents.
- California – $4.145, down 1.1 cents.
