Curbside Management Strategy Meeting at OTA

After a meeting held earlier in the spring regarding freight delivery issues in the City of Toronto, OTA met once again with City of Toronto officials to discuss the best way forward with regards to developing a freight delivery policy in the city for a number of the freight sectors.

City of Toronto officials confirmed they will be coming to OTA’s offices (555 Dixon Road, Etobicoke) on Friday June 26 to give a presentation to the freight delivery industry entitled “Developing a Curbside Management Strategy for Toronto.”

This will be an excellent opportunity to understand the new thinking at City Hall with regards to how they plan on approaching our issues. There also may be opportunities presented to fleets in attendance of how to get involved in future pilots and data sharing arrangements with the City.

Prior to this agenda item, Pan Am Games and Ministry of Transportation officials will also be meeting with the freight delivery industry in attendance to discuss plans and communication issues as a result of the games that impact freight delivery.

The meeting will begin at 10 am on Friday June 26and go until 2 pm. Lunch will be served. There is no charge to attend the meeting and it is open to all. The only requirement is that you respond to this communication by emailing Lak.Shoan@ontruck.org and provide the names and contact information of attendee(s).
