CTA Obtains List of CFIA Inspection Sites
Over the past few months, the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) and the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) have been made aware of ongoing issues surrounding CFIA cross-border inspection sites for animal products.
Many CTA carriers involved in cross-border trade have expressed frustration with the lack of transparency and communication on the part of CFIA regarding operational details of these sites including location, operating hours and contact information.
After considerable effort, the CTA has been able to obtain an official list of these inspection sites which in turn may allow carriers to better plan their operations. The list is available on CFIA’s website through a search function available here.
