Michigan paced all states in surface trade with Canada in June at $6.5 billion for a 4.5 percent annual gain, according toย the United States Department of Transportationโs Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
Overall, trade using surface transportation between the United States and both its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners Canada and Mexico was up 6.6 percent in June 2012 compared to June 2011 at $82.6 billion.
