Bendix Expands coverage for Formula Blue

Expanding coverage of its Formula Blue hydraulic brake parts line, Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake (BSFB) added 100 new part numbers, and plans to introduce additional parts every quarter.

Formula Blue is BSFB’s line of hydraulic brake parts for light- and medium-duty import and domestic vehicles ranging from Class 1 to Class 6. According to the company, the expansion increases Formula Blue’s medium-duty lineup by adding import and bus applications. In addition, BSFB added a value line of hydraulic brake pads. The new parts cover a range of name plates, including Blue Bird, Ford, Freightliner, Hino, IC Bus, Kenworth, Mitsubishi Fuso, Navistar, Peterbilt, Thomas Built Buses, UD, and Workhorse.

In addition, the company said, customers can now go online to view the new 2016 Formula Blue Illustrated Parts Identification Guide, a catalog that includes product photographs, dimensions, and application information for brake pads, shoes, drums, rotors, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, and callipers. The Illustrated Parts Guide was previously a printed supplement to the Formula Blue master catalog.

The Formula Blue Parts Guide is another online resource that allows customers to enter their product type and vehicle model to find the right part for their application, the company added.

“With our recently expanded coverage and continually growing parts lineup, Formula Blue is now even better at meeting the hydraulic brake market’s need for high-performance, cost-effective products,” said Keith McComsey, BSFB director, marketing and customer solutions.

“Also, Formula Blue’s improved online access means customers have the most up-to-date parts information at their fingertips, and Bendix is pleased to provide this resource in an environmentally friendly manner. With Formula Blue, BSFB has yet another way to serve the commercial vehicle market – allowing us to offer one-stop shopping for all air brake and hydraulic wheel-end needs.”
