The average price per gallon for a diesel fuel dropped 2 cents on Monday, Nov. 26, compared to the Monday before, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.
The smallest decrease was in New England, where the average price dropped by a third of a cent. West Coast states saw average drops of 2-3 cents.
The price is 33.5 cents higher than one year ago Monday.
Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:
- U.S. – $3.261, down 2.1 cents.
- East Coast – $3.277, down 1.8 cents.
- New England – $3.344, down three-tenths of a cent.
- Central Atlantic – $3.447, down 2 cents.
- Lower Atlantic – $3.145, down 2 cents.
- Midwest – $3.185, down 3.1 cents.
- Gulf Coast – $3.035, down 1 cent.
- Rocky Mountain – $3.339, down 2.1 cents.
- West Coast – $3.739, down 2.8 cents.
- West Coast, less California – $3.455, down 2 cents.
- California – $3.964, down 3.6 cents.
