By late Thursday afternoon, the 401 near Gananoque was reopened following the fatal collision between a tractor trailer and the stationary safety truck.
It took almost 18 hours to clean up the wreck and another 24 to rebuild the roadway which had been severely damaged in the ensuing fire from the original crash.
The name and home town of the deceased truck driver has not been released.
